About: The University of Florida Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration is in its sixth year of existence as a campus-wide committee under the direction of Multicultural and Diversity Affairs in the Division of Student Affairs. The campus-wide celebration brings together many student organizations, student leaders, university departments and the City of Gainesville community to make the celebration a success.

 

Purpose: The purpose of the celebration is to empower the University of Florida community to see their role in continuing the legacy of Dr. King, and inspire them to use their strengths, passions, and talents to better the lives of others and impact their local and global community.

 

Theme: MLK 2013: Leave Your Mark is a campus-wide celebration honoring the legacy of Dr. King and his commitment to Social Justice through educational programs, service based initiatives, and dialogues. What Mark Will You Leave?
